Silent Reading Night Wednesday, August 26th, 2026; 6:15-8:00pm

Join us for our final summer evening of reading!

Bring any book of your choice.

After a brief welcome and time to get comfortable, readers find a spot in the Theater Cafe or sitting area and enjoy 45 minutes of uninterrupted reading.

We’ll meet up at the end for a casual discussion and share-outs about what we’re reading, memorable themes, favorite authors, and more.

Readers of all ages who can read independently and quietly are welcome.

All formats are welcome: physical books, e-books, audiobooks, graphic novels, manga, poetry, and more.
6:15-6:30 - Arrive and Greetings
6:35-7:20 - Read Silently
7:25-8:00 - Book share and discussion

Interested in this year’s Stoneham Reads selection? Our 2026 theme is Stories That Stay With Us, featuring “They Called Us Enemy” by George Takei. This, and companion books, are set aside at the library for you to browse and check out. For this evening, you are invited to bring any book you’re currently reading or would like to read.
