About Keep Stoneham Beautiful
Keep Stoneham Beautiful (KSB) is a volunteer-led chapter of Keep Massachusetts Beautiful, under the umbrella of Stoneham CAN. We are working to clean up and green up our town in partnership with our local municipal government leaders, the Stoneham Department of Public Works, local businesses, and community groups. We accomplish this mission by cleaning up litter, collaborating with the community, and providing education about environmental sustainability.
OUR KEY PROGRAMS & EVENTS:
Annual fall and spring town-wide litter cleanups
Annual Stoneham Earth Day Celebration in April (following the spring cleanup)
Small Grants program to support sustainability projects for individuals and community groups
Periodic educational & pop-up cleanup events (ie. composting workshop, Invasive Species talk, etc. led by volunteers)- Check our Events Calendar for additional information on upcoming events and meetings.
Supply/Equipment Loans for pop-up cleanups
WHO WE ARE:
We welcome volunteers of all ages who would like to get involved with local litter cleanups, sustainability efforts, and beautification projects in Stoneham.
KSB is led by a Steering Committee of committed volunteers.
We also collaborate with community groups and youth-serving groups.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
Our group meets the first Wednesday of each month (except July) from 6-7 pm in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at Town hall. Newcomers are welcome at any time. Check out our Events Calendar for additonal information on upcoming events and meetings.

SMALL GRANTS PROGRAM
Keep Stoneham Beautiful also provides small grants for projects organized by other community groups, non-profit organizations, and individuals that are in line with our mission. Please click on the button below to learn more about our process and apply for support.
CLEANUP SUPPLIES/POP-UP CLEANUPS
If you would like to do a litter cleanup on your own or organize a "pop-up" cleanup with a group, KSB can loan supplies including safety vests, litter pickers, trash bags, and gloves. Please email us at keepstonehambeautiful@stonehamcan.org to arrange a supply pick up.
KSB Steering Committee
The KSB Steering Committee is made up of active KSB volunteers who serve two-year terms. The Committee meets periodically to discuss long-term goals and funding allocation. Please email us at keepstonehambeautiful@stonehamcan.org for more information about becoming a Steering Commitee member.
